MRL

Today, MRL lifts are installed in all building types, ranging from 2 – 30-storey plus, and across all sectors. The MRL lifts Jackson install are always designed and manufactured for the specific building in which they are used and various drive types, dependent on customer requirements.

Machine-room-less lifts, better known as MRLs, have been with us for over two decades, during which time, they have become the main choice of builders, developers and property management companies. As the name suggests, the main advantage of MRLs is that they do not require a separate machine-room, as the gearless traction motor is located within the lift shaft. The MRL lift controller is invariably installed within a slightly larger, landing door architrave on an upper floor level landing.

Apart from the space-saving advantages, MRL lifts can also benefit from the addition of a regenerative drive system. However, to achieve the greatest energy savings, they are best suited for buildings over six floors.

Jackson has teams of regionally-based, experienced lift Sales Engineers who will work with you or your consultant if required, to ensure the best MRL solution is offered for your project. This will include BREEAM energy-efficient options.

Jackson also undertakes the modernisation of all types of MRL lifts, including those originally installed by major international manufacturers.

The lifts we design, supply and install are all compliant with the regulatory standards at the time of installation.

For details of the regulatory and compliance standards Jackson work towards, please see the Accreditations page on this website.
