Health & Safety

Jackson has one principal objective, and that is to ensure that every person who works for us or has any interaction with our work or activities, returns home safely, without any incident or accident occurring.

Jackson work across multiple sectors, in widely-ranging building types and building status, from new constructions to some of the UK’s largest NHS hospitals and everything in between. The vast majority of our work is undertaken in partly or fully occupied buildings, some of which have elderly or less able residents.

As a result, working safely at a customer’s site is an essential part of our routine safety procedure, we always take care to ensure our work area is secure and barriered off to protect our employees and those who come close to our work area and wear the appropriate Jackson branded, PPE clothing.

We have open channels of communication with our employees who communicate with us about Health & Safety and any issues, incidents, near misses or recommendations for any safety improvements that they identify. At Director level, we continuously review our operational health and safety policy along with our working processes and procedures.

To support our commitment towards health and safety and the associated mandatory legislation, Jackson are proud to hold a range of accreditations and memberships which include ISO 14001, ISO 45001, British Safety Council Membership, BSI Certification, CHAS Certification, Constructionline Certification, Safe Contractor Certification, SAEMA Membership, and Acclaim Accreditation.
