From city-center hi-rise to 2 storey retail units, Jackson supports our customers with a local, and nationwide service. Superdrug is one with approaching 900 stores in the UK many of which have lifts. One of Superdrug’s stores located in Bank Street, Newquay, a bustling pedestrian area had been experiencing reliability issues with their passenger and goods lift.
The Jackson regional team had previously worked with Superdrug, which resulted in us being asked to tender for the modernisation of the store’s hydraulic lift, which we subsequently won.
Like many buildings of a similar age, during early site preparation, we discovered asbestos in the area of our work, which resulted in the modernisation being delayed until it was safely removed. With this completed, our local engineers carried out a full replacement of all the lift’s hydraulic lift equipment, along with a new lift controller and ancillaries.
All fully tested and back in service, customers and staff at this busy Superdrug store are benefiting from this essential lift modernisation.
