Rolls-Royce, Bristol

Project details:

  • Lift Maintenance

Compliance requirements create an opportunity for Jackson

Apart from world renowned and exclusive automobiles, Rolls-Royce also design and manufacture aero engines. From their original formation by Charles Rolls and Henry Royce in 1906, quality and attention to detail has been paramount to their success. To continually achieve the high levels of quality Rolls-Royce are respected for, the company maintains rigid compliance to set quality standards and procedures, particularly in the Aerospace division. These demands for quality and compliance also apply to the various services they procure, including lift maintenance.

To achieve Rolls-Royce’s demands for compliance along with their M&E provider, they were looking to improve the visibility of the performance of each individual lift at their Bristol Technology Centre.

Jackson, although already well-known by each party for our lift maintenance skills, were approached to establish if we could help with lift performance visibility. The automated performance and detailed compliance information required by Rolls-Royce had to be matched to our ‘My Jackson’ lift maintenance database, which required several conversations and visits to establish the full range of data integration to accompany the pre-tender lift surveys required.

Following on from the visits, we submitted a detailed tender with examples of performance and compliance information, which we successfully won.

Subsequent to Jackson commencing with the lift maintenance contract, we were asked to tender for some new lift installation work which we were again delighted to have won.
