Lift and Escalator Modernisation
The City of London is a blend of historic and modern iconic buildings. At Jackson, we are immensely proud of the many relationships we have developed over the past decades with property owners and some of London’s largest property management companies responsible for ongoing building maintenance and refurbishment.
One such iconic building is 250 Bishopsgate, this impressive eleven-storey building (plus two basement levels) is a cornerstone of the City’s skyline and where Jackson have successfully completed a major modernisation project relating to the building’s lifts and escalators.

Project Logistics
As the building was fully operational throughout the modernisation period, Jackson engineers worked during the night and over weekends to limit disturbance to the occupants. One of our challenges was to lift each of the six fully assembled scenic lift cars into the building. To help ensure no damage was caused to the new lift cars or the entrance doors, we employed a specialist company with bespoke lifting equipment to move the lift cars over the entrance barriers.
Project Completion
In early 2025, following rigorous testing, Jackson confirmed that all lifts and escalators were performing safely and efficiently, meeting the exacting standards demanded by our client.
