Lift Maintenance at Worthing Hospital, West Sussex
Located in the seaside town of Worthing, West Sussex, Worthing Hospital is a District General Hospital managed by University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The Hospital serves around 350,000 people living in the local communities of Worthing, Shoreham, and the surrounding towns and villages. It is also a Foundation Trust hospital and the headquarters of the Trust.

As a Part of the Foundation Trust, Worthing Hospital forms part of a group of Sussex Hospitals that provide education, training, and the further development of health professionals and has its own Health Education Centre and library, which are situated within the hospital’s grounds.
The hospital provides accident & emergency services and has a range of specialist wards, including acute and intensive care, and has both general and day surgery theatres and wards. To support these vital facilities, the hospital has multiple passenger and bed lifts located across the hospital to provide reliable and safe transport for patients, visitors, and staff.

As with all NHS Trust projects, all suppliers must tender—in our case, re-tender—for the lift maintenance services at Worthing Hospital. However, in this instance, the tender for Worthing Hospital and another six hospitals in Sussex formed part of a larger Lift Services Framework Agreement with the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.
Following a thorough and detailed review of our tender submission, we were delighted to have been re-awarded the Framework Agreement and Contract for the lift maintenance services at Worthing Hospital along with the other six hospitals.
The day-to-day administration of this contract is undertaken at the Jackson Head Office and Regional Centre in Charlton, London. Jackson engineers, who look after the lift maintenance at Worthing Hospital, live within easy travel distance to the hospital which helps to ensure a fast response to all calls for assistance.
