Friendly, local service… nationwide
Lift Maintenance in Hampshire
Hampshire is the largest county in the South East
of England, with 13 local councils, one of which is
Winchester City Council. The city council manages
a wide range of properties in central Hampshire,
including Winchester and several of Hampshire’s
market towns, such as Alresford, Bishop’s Waltham,
and Wickham.
In 2025, Jackson was given the opportunity to
tender for Winchester City Council’s Lift Services
Contract. The contract forms part of a framework
agreement set up by the London-based National
Framework Partnership.
As with most tenders of this kind, a pre-qualification
process was needed to substantiate
Jackson Lift Services’ capability and experience
of working with local councils. Fortunately, as a
business with over four decades of successfully
maintaining lifts for customers across multiple
sectors, including those in the public sector, we
have ample examples and references to support
our submission.
With the pre-qualification submissions undertaken,
Jackson submitted our competitive tender response
for the City Council’s Passenger Lift Services contract,
which falls under a Framework Agreement managed
by the National Framework Partnership. The contract
relates to a range of hydraulic, traction, and platform
lifts of varying ages installed in various public
buildings and in occupied residential properties.
Shortly after our tender submission, we were
delighted to be informed that we had been awarded
the Passenger Lift Services contract for Winchester
City Council. This contract now forms part of our
national portfolio of local authority and government
lift maintenance and modernisation contracts that
span the entire length and breadth of the UK.
