Jackson Invests in Scotland – Our new facility

For well over two decades, Jackson has maintained a strong physical presence in Scotland, modernising and servicing lifts for both local and national organisations. With an increasing portfolio of customers across the whole of Scotland, in 2021, we decided to invest further by building a brand-new administration, service, and warehouse facility in Glasgow.

To achieve this, we required a well-positioned site with easy access to Glasgow City Centre and major transport links. In 2022, we successfully purchased a large commercial plot in Paisley, located close to the M8 and Glasgow Airport.

This project marks the first building Jackson has constructed from the ground up. In line with our overall environmental policy, we were fully committed to this build, providing an energy-efficient “Net Zero” facility. Construction commenced in 2023, and by the end of 2025, the £2.25 million project was complete, providing over 10,000 square metres of high-quality office and warehouse space.

To ensure the building operates as carbon neutral, we have integrated several sustainable technologies:

  • Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Panels: Generating clean, renewable power.
  • Battery Storage: Capturing excess energy for consistent use.
  • Air Source Heat Pumps: Providing efficient, low-carbon heating.
  • EV Charging Stations: Supporting the requirements of our growing electric vehicle fleet.

The facility is now fully operational, and our Scottish Management and Administration Team have successfully relocated from our long-standing offices at the Pentagon Centre in Washington Street, Glasgow.

Jackson remains committed to local employment and the continuity of services we deliver. In Scotland, to help achieve this, we now employ over forty people. The vast majority are locally based lift engineers who live within easy reach of their daily maintenance routes, ensuring we remain responsive to our customers’ needs.
