Project details:

  • Lift Maintenance

For some time, Jackson have proudly been working with the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust to provide maintenance and repairs for the lifts at Brighton General Hospital, originally the largest hospital in Brighton. Today, the newer Royal Sussex County Hospital, a 785-bed acute teaching hospital, has taken on the position of being Brighton’s principal NHS hospital.

Earlier in 2023, Jackson were approached by the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the Royal Sussex County Hospital along with several other key hospitals in the region, and asked if we would undertake the day-to-day maintenance of the large and varied portfolio of lifts managed by the Trust. Jackson were already known and liked by the Trust who wanted to return to Jackson for lift maintenance.

Day-to-day administration of the maintenance contract with the Sussex Community Hospital Trust and the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust is being undertaken at the Jackson Head Office and Regional Centre in Charlton, London.

This lift maintenance award brings another NHS Trust into the Jackson Hospital and Care Home portfolio, which spans the entire UK, from the West Country to Scotland served by local engineers who form part of each hospital’s local community.
