Established in 1979 by George Jackson, Jackson Lift Group are the largest independent family owned lift, escalator and cradle maintenance organisation operating throughout the UK. We undertake the planned maintenance, repair and modernisation of all makes of lift, escalator and cradle equipment, specialising in complex systems installed by the major international manufacturers nationwide. Our building access division undertakes the maintenance and repair of all cradle systems and building access equipment, including testing. We employ over 350 and our sales team are non-commission. We operate an apprentice scheme working to the highest level of NVQ technician and engineer training modules. Continuous management, technical and systems training for all our staff is ongoing all of which are in house, combined with an external training consultancy and specialist college services. Our Health & Safety committee comprises of three directors, employee representative and a specialist Health & Safety consultant. All Installation staff have passed the CSCS Health & Safety Course operated by the main contractors group and all relevant staff are qualified to EOR202 Basic Lift Safety as required by BS7255. We are accredited by the following organisations:National Britannia Safecontractor, DTI Construction Line, Contractor Health & Safety Scheme CHAS. We are full and active members of the following trade associations: Lift & Escalator Industry Association (LEIA), National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC), Specialist Access Engineering & Maintenance Association (SAEMA). Jackson Lift Group were one of the first lift companies to achieve accreditation back in 1994. Our certification is independently assessed by BVQI, one of the world largest accreditation organisations. We are certified to BS EN ISO9001:2000 for the conceptual design, procurement, assembly, installation, test, putting into service, servicing, 24 hour callout, repair and modernisation of vertical electric and hydraulic lifts together with the service, callout, repair and modernisation of Escalators and Associated Equipment. In addition we are certified to the Lift Regulations 1997 : Schedule 12. Our highly skilled maintenance engineers and repair teams are locally based which ensures a quick response to any breakdown or other emergency. All our staff are salaried and engineers have full company uniform, Identification cards and sign written vehicles for security. In addition mobile phones and back up text pagers ensure swift communication.
