Department of Transport get a lift
Our most recent competitively tendered success comes in the shape of The Department of Transport HQ, Great Minster House, Horseferry Road, London SW1.
Although costs are always an important element for clients to consider and more so at this present time, we are particularly pleased with this instruction as the Government written specification and tender process also involved a complex points scoring arrangement that required an input from all of the departments within the Jackson Lift Group to amass the necessary compliant total.
Our works on site are due to commence in August 2009 and with three teams of installations engineers is programmed to be completed December 2010 when a long term maintenance agreement will also commence.
The lift arrangements on site consist of 13 units in total made up as a 6 car group, 3 car group and 4 fireman's lifts one at each corner of the building.
Our project requires the complete modernisation of 11 lifts and complete replacement of 2 main passenger lifts within the 6 car group. The client has taken the opportunity to invest in energy efficient components where possible and to this end we will be installing gearless AC machines with energy efficient drives to match.
The instruction for this prestigious and interesting project to us represents an acknowledgement for our careful and continued efforts towards all of our refurbishment projects. Our improved communications, client liaison, technical abilities, best quality products, attention to detail and fast and successful completion of works are proving desired and major selling points with our new and repeat customers.
